Photoshop Brushes.

  • Freebie supply: The freebies are styled nicely and grouped by theme, which helps when you're looking for a particular effect.     
  • Krakograff: Smaller collection but high‑quality sets.
  • FBrushes: These real world effect brushes are especially useful for photo manipulations or creative composites.
  • FixThePhoto: Offers themed packs (fire, grass, smoke, etc) suited for photo retouch purposes. 
  • Brusheezy: You can quickly find a specific brush style (splatter, texture, etc), preview before downloading. 


 Photoshop Actions.

  • Brusheezy: A single familiar site offering both brushes and actions makes it convenient.
  • FixThePhoto: A huge volume and good categorisation makes it easier to find an action relevant for your workflow.
  • Contrastly: Great for inspiration and seeing what kinds of actions exist; good for less common effects.
  • PanosFX: If you’re beyond simple photo tweaks and want more dramatic or stylised actions, this one is useful.
  • PSD Stack: Large listings of free actions (HDR, vintage, etc) with bundles good quantity. 


Photoshop Plug-ins.

  • Clipping World: I like the focus on designers-commerce (not just photo art)  things like watermarks, product‑shadows, etc. 
  • Pexels Plugins: This is a fantastic free option that integrates the vast Pexels stock photo library directly into Photoshop workflow.

Project 1.. Digital

  Project 1:  You are to produce an 11x17 in., 2-page spread feature article on a hobby. The focus here is on the visual and semantic hierarchy that leads the viewer's eye through the spread. It should include a minimum of three images, and appropriate use of columns, typography, margins, gutters, "pull-quotes"... Tell us about what you did, why you did it, and what you learned. For this project I created an 11×17 two-page magazine spread about my favorite hobby, photography. I wrote about how photography became important in my life and how it started when my first daughter was born. I wanted the article to tell a personal story about how photography allows me to capture memories of my family and preserve moments that would otherwise pass quickly. The layout includes a large headline, section titles, pull quotes, and multiple photographs that support the story visually.
