Blog Post 2 - Design

Copyright is a law that protects original creative work like images, logos, fonts, videos, and designs. It means that the person who creates something owns it, and others cannot use it without permission. This is very important in design because we are always working with visual elements that may belong to someone else.

During this week’s project, I am starting to understand how copyright connects directly to design. As a beginning student, this is something new for me, and I am realizing that not everything online is free to use. Even simple things like images or fonts can have rules about how they are used.

This project is helping me become more aware of where design materials come from and why it matters to respect them. Instead of just focusing on making something look good, I am also thinking about using resources the right way and being more careful with what I choose.

This experience is showing me that design is not only about creativity, but also about responsibility. Even though I am just starting, I can see how understanding copyright will be important for my future work as a designer.
